FINAL: Colorado 24, No. 22 Iowa State 17 The #CUBuffs have snapped a two-game losing streak and grab their first Big 12 win of the season to improve to 3-4 overall. It's just the second win over a ranked opponent in the Coach Prime era.

Wow. What a gutsy call by the #CUBuffs. They throw on third-and-17 and Salter hits Joseph Williams for 39 yards up to the 33-yard line. That should do it.

Dallan Hayden has another big run wiped away by a hold on Omarion Miller, but #CUBuffs still have first-and-8 at their own 37 with 2:09 left after Iowa State takes its first timeout.

Unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Iowa State after the TD forced the Cyclones to kick off from the 20 and Quentin Gibson gives the #CUBuffs excellent field position at their own 48-yard line after another solid return.

Iowa State came into the day averaging 141.8 rushing yards per game. After getting 75 on the first drive of the second half, the Cyclones are up to 185 rushing yards on 26 attempts (over 7 yards per carry). #CUBuffs defense getting pushed around at the line of scrimmage.

Halftime: No. 22 Iowa State 10, Colorado 7 Buck Buchanan lines up for his first field goal of the season and his 57-yard attempt had the distance but is wide right. For the second straight week, #CUBuffs lose another lead in the final minutes of the first half.

Iowa State just gives the #CUBuffs a completion and Sincere Brown gets up to the 39-yard line in time to call a timeout with 1 second left.

A 10-play, 96-yard drive in less than 2 minutes allowed by the #CUBuffs defense. Just can't happen — even for a unit that has done its part for the rest of the first half. Iowa State up to 264 yards now. Buffs have just 142 and 90 of those came on the lone TD drive.

Touchdown, Iowa State Cyclones absolutely carve up the #CUBuffs defense in the two-minute drill and punch it in with a handoff to Abu Sama. After leading for nearly the entire second quarter, Coach Prime's team now trailing 10-7 with 22 seconds until halftime.

Field goal, Iowa State Matt Campbell trusts freshman Chase Smith with a 38-yard kick and he knocks it through. #CUBuffs lead 7-3 with 6:40 left in the first half. Buffs with a big chance to get points at the end of the half before receiving second half kickoff.

Iowa State WR Eli Green just goes up and gets a big completion over #CUBuffs' DJ McKinney. Huge conversion for the Cyclones on third down. Now Abu Sama III breaks off a 26-yard run on the next play and ISU is very quickly into the red zone.

Ivan Yates remains on the field at CB2 for the #CUBuffs. Rotation at that spot continues with RJ Johnson still out. Neither Teon Parks or Makari Vickers have been consistent enough to lock down the spot.
