This November, we remember, pray, and hope - lifting up in prayer all our loved ones who have gone before us and all souls in need of God’s mercy. ❤️ Each RE class will take part in a prayer service. Together, we keep their memory alive through faith, love, and hope in the promise of eternal life. 🙏

Today, we celebrate All Saints — the everyday heroes of faith who show us how to live with love, courage, and joy. Every Saint reminds us that holiness isn’t about being perfect — it’s about saying yes to God in our own unique way. Who is your favourite saint?

A big thank you to 6E for leading our School Prayers for Peace during tutor time yesterday. We prayed for peace in our own lives, peace in our communities, and peace in our world. 🕊️🌿

Last year, we surveyed our S1–S3 pupils about how they feel valued in RE, and we were delighted with the results! One of the wonderful suggestions that came from our young people was to introduce a Pupil of the Month award. So, here are our very first BGE Pupils of the Month for RE for September! 🌟

Miss Connelly’s and Mrs Bolton’s S5 RE classes began this special month by praying the Rosary together in the Oratory. All our RE classes will have the opportunity this month, as October is the Month of the Holy Rosary. This is a wonderful way to reflect, pray, and grow in faith together. 💙🕊️

Our new House Saint Carlo Acutis 🙏 after the most incredible week with the Life of the Eucharist last November, then the canonisation this month. We will celebrate his feast day in October. Our new House Saint Carlo banner was revealed today 🙏

Holy Cross pupils had the honour of carrying the Jubilee Cross which was made by our school in this special Jubilee Year, we are Pilgrims of Hope 🙏

Thank you to our young people who took an active role in our Feast Day Mass: our readers, servers, those in the offertory procession, our S6 stewards, & those who processed with our Jubilee Cross. Thank you for sharing your gifts and for being such a shining example of faith in action. 🙏

We had a wonderful celebration for the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. We are grateful to Bishop Toal, Fr Hughes, & our associated Parish Priests for joining us & making it so special. A great thanks also to our invited guests, our S1 & S6 and our staff for their support & participation.

We are delighted to have received the Jubilee Cross for the Diocese of Motherwell as we prepare for our Feast Day Mass celebrations! 🙏 Our joy is even greater knowing that the cross was lovingly made by our school community. We look forward to celebrating together this afternoon!

We are very proud of our S6 who represented us today at the Aid to the Church in Need Youth Rally. It was a memorable day rallying together to #breakthesilence on religious persecution. ❤️

On Friday 29th August, our S1–S6 representatives joined with students from across the Diocese of Motherwell to take part in the Pilgrim of Hope Walk from Carfin Grotto to Motherwell Cathedral. A wonderful opportunity to walk together in faith, unity, and hope.

September is set to be a busy and exciting month with many opportunities to gather as a community of faith. We look forward to celebrating several Masses together — moments to give thanks and grow in faith.
