Travel hacker minded folks: is there an app for flight search that’s as good as Google Flights? (pouring one out for Hipmunk cc @daniloc.xyz) Google Flights desktop is great, and includes Ryanair, which is critical for Dublin. On mobile it’s not as good… but I don’t trust any of main aggregators.

Did Apple Maps usurp Google Maps for public transit options at some point? On a few recent travels, Apple Maps has shown routes that Google doesn’t have or got wrong. Today in Santander, Apple Maps has bus info that Google simply doesn’t have.

I’m in Santander for a few days. The informal hostility toward speaking English is noticeable. I don’t really object to it: I love it eg when I’m in Austria and folks really let me attempt German. It is frustrating not being able to speak a language that I actively learned as a kid.

This is a very clever crowd-sourced feature of BlueSky. Seeing random people saying things is one of the weakest points of social media. Having these little third-party nuggets is useful (albeit relying on trusting the folks who maintain the label)

I've been pretty tired this week. Trying to work while tired is truly a huge effort. Also: since I started playing online chess, I'm able to _feel_ my tiredness by playing games and simply losing over and over, when on days when I'm fresher ... well, I literally win more!
