Been playing around with #gameoflife #cellularautomata in torodial space. Found some cool stuff - it also works pretty well for a screen saver

What struck me as odd between 2D and 3D melee-oriented games is that while 2D games generally expected you to avoid damage through staying or jumping away, most 3D games decided that a block/dodge/parry/etc. was necessary. Try listing what 3D games do so and don't, and it'll look like this:
