As someone who volunteers for the DEIR roundtable for ACS, I am mad. Big mad. And I will be contacting people directly in the DEIR office about this. ACS is nonpartisan and doesn’t have affiliation to any political party or their ideologies. If there is a time to have a backbone, it is right now.

Rarely have I been less surprised than I am by the move of the American Chemical Society to delete its website on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Respect. The organization that has never taken a stand on anything has continued that trend.
