My Roku remote was running low on batteries and I was annoyed bc I didn’t want to get up and find batteries. Then I remembered it was rechargeable and I had a USB-c charge next to me. Of course that isn’t plugged in. So I am using my phone as a remote.

I need someplace that will give me a menu for a week, including a shopping list, and the ingredients need to be interchangeable in each recipe.

The IT department sent out a “phishing email” test and like five minutes after it, my boss sent out an email being like “don’t fall for the phishing email” 🤣🤣🤣 I think he fell for it.

I spent two years chronically online, specifically TikTok. While I am not online Tiktok anymore, the one thing I took away from it was to cinch my bathrobe in the front and not around the back. Works so much better.

I just chopped the tip of my pinky finger and my dad called to talk about CVT transmissions in Subarus. His latest hyper fixation. So that was a good way to distract myself as I glued my fingertip back on and bandaged it.

Eldest is on a millennial movie journey with me. We have watched Death Becomes Her, Sister Act, and Galaxy Quest so far. We don’t have school tomorrow so we are going to stay up and watch Ten Things I Hate About You. They really don’t make movies like this anymore and it makes me sad.

A guy on Nextdoor posted how he went to the No King’s Day to support the current administration. He bragged about enforcing is 2A right in case it got violent. He was standing in a crowd of 60+ year old white women. I don’t know what county he thinks he lives in but glad I don’t live there.

Okay. I watched Woman in Cabin 10. It was fine. I liked the book better but it would have been harder to translate to a movie due to the unreliable narrator. Now I am rewatching Murderbot.

My HOA has proposed Flock cameras and I have defeated this once before and I shall defeat it again. Not in my house. I have two board members swayed to no and just need two more. One guy is kinda crazy and I just need to say “China” and I can get him too.

Having my sixth colonoscopy in three years on Thursday. I am anxious so not sleeping but strangely looking forward to my drug induced nap to help with my recent anxiety spike. It makes no sense.

After trying a couple of trips, I don’t think I am a one bag, specifically backpacking, type of gal. I am an overpacked, and shopper. Plus in my old age, I need a roller. I think it is time to admit this to myself before my next trip.

I found myself skipping across a cross walk in NYC in a designer dress while eating a cheap slice of street pizza. The little girl that grew up in rural North Florida will be relieved to know I was still wearing my cowboy boots.

NYC Bookstore Crawl was a success. We went to a romance bookstore, horror bookstore, and mystery bookstore. I loved that we made such an effort to hit some really cool genre specific spots.

For my kid’s 12th birthday I got them a tamagotchi and a disposable camera. We are living in the past and loving it.

Taking the train to NYC! I honestly love traveling by train. It is a slower pace but it would take me the same amount of time to drive without the stress of driving.

Eldest and I went to the Taylor Swift Release Party and it was so much fun. I loved just being able to listen to the songs and hear her thought process behind each one. I loved having that experience with my kid.

Hub’s grandmother died early this morning. She was a really cool person. A late career librarian who got her MLS acre raising her kids. We shared a love of books and talked often about our favorites. She had a great sense of humor and loved calling people out on their bullshit. Glad I knew her
