#AwesomeCharacters Rider's anticipations are way too dark, & maybe just a bit spoilery. In his happiest moments, he dreams of really being able to keep Song & Furgo safe, maybe even of living with them for a long time, . . . but he's as afraid of that anticipation as he is of his darker- 1/?

#AwesomeCharacters Lawcket doesn't tend to anticipate the future much, except when he's in bad circumstances. Then he anticipates hard choices, & brutal possibilities way too much.😭 I won't go into details, beyond that his worst anticipations are others being hurt because of his mistakes.

The first kiss Rider gives is literally to an egg. I can't know for certain he hasn't kissed an object before, but never a living creature.

I hope interpreting the question as the literal first kiss isn't too naughty.😅 Lawcket's first on page kiss is to a baby goat, when he's a 6 yr old.🐐🥰 I suspect his true first kiss might be to another baby animal, or their family dog, or even possibly his baby brother.

#DecemberWorldbuilders I'm not sure how unique it is, but magic comes & goes in the Skybollon world. Over hundred . . . even thousands of years, magic slowly builds & then slowly recedes. In places where it collects it stays a bit longer. This makes it so in certain phases of the world nearly - 1/2

I have side characters I loved writing SO MUCH that in my latest draft, they've stolen the show enough that the guy who was originally the main character now feels like a side character. Whoops? Whatever. They're all badasses.

#AwesomeCharacters I have a plan for a side character in Lawcket's story to get a much bigger rule, but it's 1 spoiler I can keep while still blabbering about my characters I'll just say, I'll be honored if readers guess who he is. I did leave 1 hint. The problem is it requires pieces from 2 books

#AwesomeCharacters Dance started as a side character, & became the MC of a whole book (that will never be published) He does have POV in the first book, but there are other side characters with POV who never become MCs. I do think any reader who knows me well could guess he'd become an MC,- 1/2

#WIPSnips Going with vibes. Dance is remembering a childhood experience, so everything is italicized. This WIP will never be published, but of everything I've written it's the snippet that matches today's word best. I never realized how much the last line show Dawn's personality.🤣

#WIPSnips (only 3 instances, & this is the only I don't think I've shared before) “Eat.” Lawcket was startled out of his thoughts by Landroy speaking to him. He desperately wanted to get to keep on thinking, to get to live in the threads of happiness which could not truly be lost.

I did this thing in Prophet Reborn, where the MC Alec is being observed by a girl who is disabled. And at that moment, I didn’t want to limit how the reader pictured Alec by being too specific. So I approached his description this way… #AwesomeCharacters
