Jul 1917 Canadian war photographer Ivor Castle or possibly William Rider-Rider take this photo of a magpie that has been with this gunner since the Battle of the Somme. The photo ID is O-1528 and according to @carlajeanstokes.bsky.social O-1500 is rough cut off between the 2 photographers
