Although this opaque jug looks like pottery, it’s actually glass. It’s Roman, late republic/early imperial period, but looks for all the world like a mass produced Victorian piece of domestic crockery. I love that trefoil decoration at the top and the colour is delightful 🏛️📷NY Met 🏺 AncientBlueSky
