My 2008 Prius finally died at 196,000 miles. Had 90k when I bought it in 2018. Was a good car, but so glad to have something new! Well newish, it’s a 2022 with 40k miles.

Kind of excited for Lies of P being one of the free games of the month on PlayStation. It’s a game I was always interested in playing but never felt like it was worth buying or at least not compared to other games I wanted to play.

Watching THX 1138 for the first time in a long time. I believe it’s George Lucas’s first major film. Released in 1971. Two years before American Graffiti and six years before A New Hope. Definitely more artsy than action packed, but a good movie. There are hints of Star Wars through out it.

These Coldplay concerts are getting out of hand.

Well I thought I finally got my Sega CD working again, but am now having SRAM problems. Changed the battery because it wasn’t formatting. Now it formats but still doesn’t boot up games with saves. I get an “initialize RAM” message. Screw it, I’m switching it out for FRAM.

Going to a con next week where Grant Kirkhope, one of the primary composers of Goldeneye (among many other games) will be. Kind of thinking about taking my childhood cart to see if he will sign it.

Last week my kid saw a caterpillar on the window and we explained how it’ll become a butterfly. Later that day we started noticing fibers around it and by the next morning a full cocoon. He has been waking up each morning wanting to see it. It hatched into a butterfly today. He was so excited!

Been playing through Zelda 2 for the first time, at least in a serious way, and not just getting frustrated after 10 minutes. Got the hammer last night so I no longer have to go through Death Mountain. Thank god!

Had a great family weekend teaching my kid about our First Amendment rights yesterday and celebrating Fathers Day today.
