Exploring the Behringer Abacus module this morning. It’s a clone of the Maths module by Make Noise. It’s a poetry robust thing and will take a while to understand it

I absolutely love the sound of the Behringer Waves being used as an envelope. Especially with that really snappy wave shape. The Waves is modulating the VCF and the VCA. The sequencer is sending CV to the VCF as well. I'm using the amp in the 130 instead of the 110 because it can do exponential 1/2

another new module I recently picked up. I spent a day just exploring the envelope capabilities on it and i REALLY like them! Now I’m exploring its oscillator skills and I’m very impressed with those too

new module i picked up yesterday. An analog sequencer. Very fiddly but very cool

Example of what i tried to explain in the previous post. The envelopes and filters sound so much more interesting than the onboard ones on the Spice. And you can do extra modulation on them

i just unlocked another thing with my synths. I really like the Spice (Subharmonicon), but the envelopes on it never did anything for me. It's like they did ONE thing and that's it. I had the idea of opening the envelopes/filter and sending the audio out to the 110's VCF/VCA

a little polyrhythmic jam this morning. still testing out the interconnectivity between all my stuff. sorry, it seems like the oscillator drifted slightly out of tune 🤷🏼♀️

trying out some new modules. i picked up the 182 today and while analog sequencers have their share of quirks, there’s nothing quite like them 🥰

Just ordered a ground loop eliminator thing. Ever since moving to this place there’s been so much digital noise in my monitors that i tend to not turn them on and use headphones instead. This never happened in my old place. It kind of drives me crazy so i gotta try something

Had another tier to use above the S49 so I pulled out the Maschine Mikro and the old BeatStep. I don’t usually use the Maschine because it’s always tucked away and not easily accessible Might be nice to have it readily available

i need to use my pedals more because they’ve got CHARACTER! This DFX9 was one of the first pedals i ever bought. Sadly i got rid of it and i replaced it a couple years ago. It is so dirty and crunchy. Late 80s digital so it’s kinda bitcrushy Sounds fantastic on synths

still moving things around in my studio to find the optimal setup for what I’ve got. just moved the DX over my S49 and the mixer and pedals are now raised beside the 2600. It feels nicer

still just having fun experimenting and understanding different ways to use the modular and semi-modulars. Here I’m using just the VCO from the 110, and a patch from Victor going through the VCF and VCA on the 2600. Mixed in a saw wave from the 2600 as well sounds so nice

i typically rely on reverb in my DAW, but i tried my Walrus Audio Ambient pedal on a simple synth voice and it sounded incredible! I know it’s a mono verb but using that before hitting the delay and verb(now lowered) adds a great ambience I like the Haze setting - there’s less noticeable predelay

one thing i've noticed on the Behringer Spice is that the Seq 1 & 2 outputs on the patchbay only send trigs, not gates. I was trying to get it to fire an external ADSR module but the only parameter that did anything was the release. if you turned the decay or attack up the signal disappeared...

i'm still in the stage of learning how my modular and semi-modular things can possibly work together. My modular is pretty small right now, so i tried sending things from the modular to the 2600 and just using the ADSR/VCA on there and it worked! I now have access to more 'modules'!

Pulled out my trusty Slarp pedal by walrus audio. Threw it it on my Yamaha DX along with the Voyager overdrive. Sounds so good

I was finally able to use my 2600 for something 'professional'. I'm doing the sound design for a short film and the composer did all the music and SFX for an 8bit old school video game.

thinking of upgrading to Arturia's V Collection 11. I've got the Collection 9 and there's some cool things I'm interested in 11. Like Pure LoFi & MiniFreak. Arturia's software is so freaking good - I need to use it more than i do

Been exploring this pedal lately. I inherited it from my brother in law who passed away a few years ago and haven’t spent much time with it yet. It’s got some great creative options in there

My little synth corner is really coming together now. I got the laptop stand to lift the DX and put the Pedal Power below it, while still having some space for a couple pedals. Mixer and MidiHub tucked over to the side to give lots of elbow room in front. It’s feeling good

you may have seen this on my personal account, but i thought I'd post it here as well. I'm just messing around with some new synths I've picked up over the last little while (Behringer 2600, K2, and Wasp Deluxe)
