Aurora doesn't get her name until near the end. She goes by nicknames like "Rose" or "Briar Rose," but they aren't her name. When she dies, Grimnir is the one who completes the ritual himself by giving her a name. This, and giving up half of his soul, ties her thread with his permanently.

The Faerie Queene, Aurora's mother, is killed before she could complete the ritual and bestow the princess's name, but is mysteriously killed during the process, leaving her daughter unnamed and untethered. She exists kind of in between realities. That's why she's able to see these magical "theads"

True names, fate, and threads are strong themes within her lore. While mortals have souls, the fae do not! But they are strongly tied to their true names. Instead of being cursed at her christening like in the Sleeping Beauty fairytale, Aurora is cursed at her Naming ceremony!

The thing I struggle with as a furry artist, especially when trying to world-build, is reimagining designs with human iconography or designs intended for people and remaking them to fit animals. Like, Aurora/Parfait has headphones on her ref, but don't ask me how she wears them, ok?? I'M TRYING💀
