Depression has been bad and continues to be bad but small rituals have been reviving me. Drinking tea deliberately, eating sweet crackers with homemade jelly, doing tarot, lighting a candle, watching the ducks at work. Small acts to just sustain me through whatever this all is

I just want to feel like myself again. It feels so long, months since I’ve had any real clarity or emotional stability. I’ve been swimming to keep my head above water not knowing when I’ll get to shore. I’m trying to do things that remind me of the person I was, a person I liked, who I used to be.

I haven’t had to take zofran in awhile but I have been so so so nauseous recently that I just had to take some today. I feel like I have just been so incredibly anxious all the time these past couple months ugh. It really sucks

I don’t think ppl understand the whole “who cares if nobody likes it! make content for yourself” is extremely dismissive Bc we ARE making the content for ourselves but it feels /bad/ when people don’t engage or show interest. You can care about both at the same time

Back home from a whirlwind trip from Cleveland and wow what an incredible time! I needed a good trip, I’ve been falling back into a lot of depression pits recently and it’s hard to fight sometimes. But it was so fun to get to be a little impulsive and truly have a bit of unplanned adventure 💜

I think I’m going to start adult ballet classes. I had been wanting to but my time and heart was committed to aerial. My mind has been so heavy with the thought of continuing on with something that has been so fundamentally changed for me that I think I need something new until I feel ready again.

Aside from the general anxiety, there is so much grief in my heart about losing my friend and with her our circus. I feel like I have lost a huge part of myself and one of the few spaces I’ve ever felt so understood. For a brief time, it was wonderful to feel like I belonged somewhere.

We are going to the PA Renaissance faire (anybody go and have suggestions?) this year so I’m trying to decide what I wanna do for costume. I have an OC costume that is fall themed that I could finish but I have just so many ideas that I think would be fun. It’s so hard to choose ahhh

Cosplaying your oc is great but other people complimenting you and wanting your pic when your dressed up as your little guy that you created is the best ;-; truly awesome it makes me so happy that people like this outfit/character so much ahhhh

We said goodbye to Miss Ellie this morning and she crossed the rainbow bridge. She spent the morning resting in favorite window bathed in sunshine watching the squirrels. She was a beautiful girl and we love her so much, please keep us in our thoughts and give your beans extra treats and love for us

I am supposed to go to a con this week and I am supposed to try and sell at the craft fair and I’m supposed to do all these things and I’m supposed to be ok but I’m just so sad and I hate it and I hate being sad and crying all the time and I’m just not sure what I’m supposed to do with all this.

Unfortunately more sad news. Our oldest cat, Ellie, has a malignant tumor in her mouth and Aug and I are heartbroken. It’s not something that can be really treated because of the location so we are going to just try and make her comfortable for the time we have left with her. It just really sucks

I don’t know, seeing a room full of butterflies today did in fact feel nice. It’s been a weird month, a somber one. But, I’m finding moments that I feel happy again. Seeing friends, being with people, having things to look forward to, remembering the world can be beautiful. It all helps bit by bit
