The QLD trans healthcare ban was called after 14 minutes of consultation which occurred WHILE they were announcing the decision. Procedural fairness? What procedural fairness. This was never about the science or protecting children 🤬🤬🤬

So there's this awesome graffiti in Narrabundah - I've passed it a couple of times on my way into the city, "Hope" in trans pride colours. Anyway, some asshole defaced it, but the local community got in touch with the artist who fixed it over the weekend. And added "we always come back stronger" 🏳️‍⚧️

After Newcastle did this yesterday and got complaints, today, The Age ran the exact same ad on their front page. Nobody should be running this ad as it's a disgrace of political advertising targetting an already marginalised group. This is just adding fuel to a fire that needs some reprieve.

Tomorrow at the Pearce community centre from 2 o'clock we have a fun action lined up for you! We'll be flooding the post (and Tim Nicholls mailbox!) with colourful postcards, letters and crafts in response to his cruel healthcare ban in Queensland.

Trans children deserve so much better than this

Shameful announcement from the LNP, this is bigoted and flies in the face of internationally accepted best practice for paediatric trans healthcare We will be FOIng them. In the meantime, this does not affect private prescriptions, we'll also explore what we can do from the POV of mutual aid.

3) The New England Journal of Medicine published an article, the researchers found: "The Cass Review on gender-affirming care, which has been used to justify bans in U.S. states, transgresses medical law, policy, and practice, which puts it at odds with mainstream U.S. expert guidelines."

2) the Administrative Review Tribunal in Australia has come in clutch and rejected a hate group's application to exclude trans women from events, in doing so the member referred to the Giggle v Tickle decision favourably, which read Helen Joyce to filth and affirmed trans women are women

Another win for Aussie tribunals! Look forward to reading this one when it's up on Austlii It'll be interesting to see if they try to appeal.
