if you're actually using chatbots for creative works whether just brainstorming or creating entire projects i think you just have really low standards... once i tried using ai for that to see what all the buzz was about, and it was incapable of making anything *not* garbage. people use this??????

i wish chatbots were interesting to talk to but they feel so formulaic. there was a point around when gpt-3 released (the pre-chatgpt model) where I had lots of fun playing with it, but now it's really easy to picture what the response would be like before even asking it. wikipedia is more fun

Anyone can say anything in art. you can make an image thats just black text on a white background saying what you want to say. But you can also do better than that and communicate with people in a way that cant be expressed through just plain speech

to draw things better you have to understand the love and purpose that exists behind what youre drawing. if you draw a bedroom you dont just draw a bed and window and stuff, u have to think about the effects of living there for years, the design choices of the curtain holder, the bed frame, etc

drawpile is great. drawing feels like my only real presence on anything in the world so when i get to do it with someone else it's like i can feel their hand thru my tablet
