It turns out the person who set my appointment is an idiot. She was looking at JANUARY 30th when she told me "tomorrow." I went to an urgent care anyway. They prescribed some steroids and mucinex.

I have been fighting with an absolutely lousy cough for over a week at this point. I'll inhale, feel some mucus vibrate in my throat, then cough like a 2-pack-a-day smoker with zero movement...

My car's "collision avoidance" system nearly got me into an accident yesterday. A car was turning in front of me into a driveway and stopped. I tried to go around it, but the brakes locked up. I then saw the car BEHIND me coming up quickly. And I couldn't move. Thankfully, no crash. Thanks, Mazda.

My brother just sent me a video of dad at PT. He's climbing stairs! We'll, with assistance, but hes on his own feet! This is huge!

I'm suddenly reminded why I don't make doctors appointments for myself. My primary doc said he would send a referral to the cardiologist so I could make an appointment with them. Doc said to wait a couple days to make sure they got it. So I did. Called the cardi and they don't have the referral.

I've been making a card each year for my sister's birthday. This is the 2025 installment!

My dad has been moved from the hospital to a rehab to get speech, physical, and occupational therapy. I'm really glad he's doing better, but I know he hates being away from home more than anything. But he needs to get PT at the very least. My sister and I both work full time. We can't care for him.

TIL Cherry Coke Zero (my beverage of choice) is more acidic than Red Bull! CCZ has a pH ~2.9 RB has a pH ~3.4 Which is shocking, because RB tastes MUCH more sour to me than CCZ ever has.

Dad is doing much better, but he's still not back to where he was. The hospital is discharging him today, but he still needs 24-hour care with at least 2 to help. Which we can't give him at home. So he's being moved to an inpatient rehab hospital to get the PT he needs. 3-6 weeks. He's not happy.
