Folks should know that small businesses employ roughly 70% of the American workforce. Tariffs are going to crush small businesses. Also even though GDP shrank in recent months, it was falsely inflated by companies (like mine) that stocked up on inventory in ‘24 Q4, & ‘25 Q1. Not good.

I just placed a huge order of inventory for my retail store. Inventory of my largest vendor was cratering in real time as I shopped. All of the product comes from China. I’ll have enough for maybe 6 weeks. If containers don’t start moving from China to the US in the next week or 2 - bare shelves.
