I'll be gutted if Transport Fever 3 doesn't run on Steam Deck. TF2 worked wonderfully well on it. I hope at the vet least it gets on GeForce Now if system specs are the issue.

Actually managed to eat food for the first time in five days. I've had a pulled muscle from an illness and eating had left me in excruciating pain. It still hurt but finally manageable. Hope I'm over the worst now as I feel so weak.

One thing we spoke about is TWAing your game. Like @mikebithell.bsky.social excellent Thomas Was Alone. How is your game when stripped back to the most basic form. Does it still play well. Do the things you add enhance the experience. Are they vital or even needed at all?

Going back and playing the original Styx again ahead of my coverage of the new game. Chasing new engines really needs to stop. There is not enough to gain compared to what is lost in terms of performance.

Resident Evil Village Not sure I'm that into it. It feels frustrating in places rather than having any real tension. If anything it is kind of boring. It looks bloody lovely though.

My game of the month for January is @inkle.co fantastic #TR-49 an investagative mystery game that gripped me like no other since Her Story. At less than £6 you really must pick this up. Grab a coffee, a pen and some paper and get totally enthralled.

On the docket for the coming weeks. It's a good start to 2026. Not forgetting I've already played TR-49 and Super Woden Rally Edge.

These are fantastic and hope they pave the way for other systems to get the same treatment in future.

The opening of Silent Hill f reminds me a lot of the original PS1 game. With the feeling of not knowing fully what is going on and the sense of feeling unsafe. The atmosphere also is back on point!

Am I missing something with HDR? Everything looks too dark when I have it enabled on my Steam Deck. It's really bad in dimly lit areas to the point that part of the game can become unplayable. So tell me. What am I missing here?

I'm heading towards the end of Mass Effect 3 and now I've been through the trilogy for the first time, it makes me sad, as it's proof that the big studios could do great things. Rather than the shit we have now.

Might have to park Star Wars Outlaws until Steam Machine. Heard it runs bad on Deck, which isn't a problem. But GeForce Now keeps shitting the bed when I try to play it. Sucking the enjoyment from it.
