I decided to take a more proactive approach in encouraging my frogs to breed. Playing back recordings of Leaf Frog calls immediately prompted my males to sing back. The two met at the center of the enclosure, and started trying to one-up eachother with their singing. #froggy #vivarium

An interesting bit of sexual dimorphism I've noticed in Rainbow Stag Beetles is a difference in the mandibles. Those of females have a pitted texture. Almost like the surface of a golf ball. This is also present all over the beetle's shell, though not as prominent. #beetle #stagbeetle #insects
