I'm thrilled to have the support of the Rochester Education Association, which represents 1,000+ teachers, nurses, and counselors in Rochester Public Schools. I’m grateful for REA’s support as we fight for working people across southern Minnesota.

Earlier this week, over 200 people came together for our campaign’s holiday party to celebrate the season and cap off an incredible year on the campaign trail. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many of the people who have made this campaign possible. Thank you everyone and happy holidays!

Eight months ago today, we launched our campaign to bring down costs, take on corruption, and invest in small towns across Southern Minnesota. I'm humbled by all the support, and I'll continue working hard so that we can have the representation we deserve in Congress.

I enjoyed speaking to a bunch of young folks organized by the Rochester Community initiative this afternoon. We discussed a number of key political issues and the importance of getting involved with caucuses and elections next year.

I’m heartbroken for the Stewartville community, and I am praying for the student who was hurt and his family. My heart is with everyone shaken by this morning’s violence, and I am grateful for the first responders who responded quickly to this tragedy.

It was great to tour the Local 1382 Carpenters Union Training Center today! They are training the next generation of carpenters with strong apprenticeship programs, and I appreciated getting to see it firsthand.

Today, four clinics are closing in southern Minnesota. Meanwhile, Congress is making it even harder to make the math work on rural healthcare. It's wrong, and I'm running for Congress to start investing in small towns again.

It was great to stop by Muna Halal for a bite this evening with some members of my team. The Somali food was fantastic! Our Somali American neighbors have made so many meaningful contributions to our community.

I enjoyed chatting with folks at Mineral Springs Brewery in Owatonna! We had a great conversation about how we can make life more affordable if politicians stop handing over our money to corporate donors, and start investing it in southern Minnesota instead.

I'm excited to be highlighted as an Unrig Washington candidate by @endcitizensunited.bsky.social because of my commitment to take on corruption in Washington. Life is too expensive, but our politicians are too focused on serving corporate donors, rather than bringing costs down for us.

A little bit of snow wasn't going to stop us from supporting our local shops on this Small Business Saturday! A few of my former students and I dropped by Old Abe's for some hot chocolate and good conversation this afternoon.

It was great to speak at the Minnesota Farmers Union Annual Convention this weekend! I shared what I've been hearing from farmers across southern Minnesota: we have to lower costs for our producers.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. It’s hoodie time.

I’m proud to be the first 2026 candidate in Minnesota to earn the support of the National Education Association. It’s time we elect a representative who will stop defunding public education and start investing in our communities.

On National Rural Health Day, we thank the doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers who keep our rural communities healthy. In Congress, I’ll fight to reverse the recent ~$100 billion cuts from rural healthcare and make sure our small towns have the clinics, healthcare workers & resources they need.

Last night, the federal government started promoting vaccine conspiracy theories on the CDC’s website. We should be investing in vaccines that stop preventable diseases, not undermining the science that prevents them.

Farmers in southern Minnesota are working hard, but the math isn’t working out. Our farm families need lower input costs and lower everyday expenses to make the numbers add up.

Seven months into this campaign, I’m so proud of what we’re building. From picnics in Lakefield to ice cream socials in Owatonna, we’re building a movement to make life affordable in southern Minnesota.

I appreciated hearing from folks in Lake City about how the federal cuts to Medicaid will affect their access to healthcare. We have to do better for our small towns.

Today, we honor the courage and sacrifice of those who’ve served our country, and the families who’ve stood beside them.

Folks are tired of watching the powerful and the well connected play by their own rules. Congress should step up oversight of presidential pardons because no one, Republican or Democrat, should get a free pass because of their money or connections.

A bunch of our amazing volunteers got together in Red Wing this weekend to sharpen their skills and get ready to help the campaign!

Our congressman led the largest cut to SNAP in American history, while giving tax breaks to Elon Musk who is on track to become the first trillionaire in American history.

There's tax breaks for billionaires, there's bailouts for Argentina, but there isn't money for SNAP? We need leaders who care more for the hungry than the wealthy.

I'm SO thrilled that the Byron school referendum passed last night. From only getting 42% of the vote last year, to getting over 53% this year, it's proof that we can do big things when we keep talking to our neighbors and never give up.

I am grounded in my faith and in my 20 years of service as a public school teacher. These cuts to SNAP betray our moral duty to care for the sick, the hungry, and the thirsty. That’s the message I shared in front of Congressman Brad Finstad’s office on Monday.

Growing up in Stewartville, we needed help from Channel One Regional Food Bank to help fill in the gaps to put food on the table. So it meant a lot to come back yesterday and have our campaign join with @ltgovflanagan.mn.gov, State Rep Tina Liebling, and so many others to pack some boxes.

Attention good people of Byron! You have an important election on Tuesday to make sure that your public schools have the funding they need to thrive. It was great to knock some doors today and remind folks to go to Byron Middle School between 7AM and 8PM tomorrow to vote!

We absolutely need to crack down on SNAP fraud. But we can do that without cracking down on hungry children. Let’s make SNAP cards more secure, strengthen the vetting rules for vendors, and finally appoint an Inspector General at USDA to go after SNAP fraud.

If I were the chairman of the House Nutrition Subcommittee, I simply wouldn’t lead an effort to take food away from 1,000,000 children.

If you zoom in, you might be able to see me speaking to more than 250 folks across the first congressional district. It was so great to share our campaign’s vision for making life more affordable in southern Minnesota, including by undoing the massive cuts to SNAP and Medicaid.

If I were the chairman of the House Nutrition Subcommittee, I simply wouldn’t cut $186 billion from SNAP while giving trillions in tax cuts to people who can afford private chefs.
