I recently joked with a coworker that Vibe Coding has been around a long time, except that it used to be done during an outage due to some existing terrible code requiring a fix in the middle of the night, and back then it was called Rage Coding. 😉

Okay, I am tired. I walked out of the NWC with Chris Karstens, but when I saw him my brain said @plustssn.autumnsky.us, so I began chattering away complimenting him on his aurora photos. Afterward, I told Chris "Hey, it could be worse. At least I didn't call you @pmarshwx.com!" 😉

Earlier this month, when paying a bill online, I happened to click the "Choose Currency" button for the payment website. The web browser's suggested choices for currency were, um, interesting.

October 21 marks 20 years since an incredible record was set in my beloved #IslaMujeres. On 21-22 Oct 2005 this weather station set the Western Hemisphere 24-hour rainfall record, 1633.98 mm (that's over 64.3 inches in 24 hours!) during Hurricane Wilma.

TIL that bread pudding is big in Mexico and the rest of Latin America. At a supermercado in Moore, OK, in the pan dulce area, there was this stuff called budin de pan. It's bread pudding made of previous day's leftover rolls + lots of coconut and cinnamon. OMG SO GOOD. Tasty rabbit hole of learning.

We're doing surplus at work and it's finally time to send this little one on its way. After nearly 26 years, it still works like new and has been used until now, because it readily accepts funky video frequencies from various rackmount servers at which expensive KVM systems balk. #GotOurMoneysWorth

Today had quite the range of emotions.

Our security guards put up caution tape on one side of the entrance sidewalk into the NWC building. There are a pair of Canada Geese (which are, more or less, Honey Badgers with wings) nesting in there and they are not shy about chasing people out. Can you see one of them looking back at me?

I was on a video chat with @jonblatho.com and suddenly there were loud noises outside. Apparently, one of our visitors is angry and would like to speak to the manager.
