I do believe that Koei should be paying more attention to dubs especially in non English speaking countries, it would have been nice to see Dynasty Warriors Origins have a Korean Dub or even a Traditional Chinese Dub (on consoles)

I managed to get my hands on an extremely rare copy of Dynasty Warriors 5 for the Korean Domestic Market. Dynasty Warriors is incredibly popular in South Korea with most of the KOEI games getting full localisations as well as Dubs provided by KBS actors

I’m not going to lie on my most recent trip to Japan, I actually hated Akihabara, it’s not how it used to be. I much prefer Den Den Town in Osaka, less sketchy and better retro game finds/ prices

When I was in Tokyo in Feb I did manage to find most of the Warriors Games in Akihabara. It’s always been a running joke in older anime that Otaku are big fans of the Three Kingdoms. But it’s kinda true. Akiba is the best place in Tokyo to find Musou games

Next time I’m in Japan I’ll hunt for a Japanese copy of Kessen 3 to complete my treasure box edition ! Surprisingly Kessen 2 was difficult to find and so was the Treasure Box ! It seems like these older titles are near and dear to so many people

On my last trip to Japan I had purchased a mint condition version of Kessen 3 Treasure Box edition. However opening the game up today it looks like it was missing the game disc. The treasure box came with the Game Disc and a Mix Joy Disc (for bonus content/DLC)

The Japanese voices in Kessen 2 are great but not what I expected the English version opted to use the Dynasty Warriors Voice actors to reprise their roles But it makes sense for them to use other VAs, Guan Yu sounds so much younger in Japanese… because he is young in this game

On the topic of Kessen 2 , the バビ語 Babigo (Japanese equivalent of Pig Latin) spoken during magic spells is the same as the English version. I’ve noticed a few more differences that might want to discuss more on the stream this weekend

Also the story in the Japanese version of Kessen 2 is the same. I always thought Diao Chan being LiuBei’s love interest was a weird translation/localisation thing The game is a lot more serious in Japanese vs English

So Japanese version of Kessen 2 is absolutely amazing , the controls are slightly different and doesn’t contain any ads for other Koei Games. The subtitles also contain Furigana , which is good cause I suck at reading Kanji

So … I can’t find a proper way to use my Vroid model on Mac OS so I’m going to potentially stream with my actual face instead 😂 Testing out Kessen before I can stream on Saturday … Also should I stream on Twitch or YouTube ?

So I just recorded 2 episodes back to back focusing on summer games fest as well as my 1st impressions on Persona 4 Revival (and the drama surrounding its announcement) It should be out early this week !

I dunno Persona 4 Revival just feels like it was a last minute inclusion cause the past VAs leaked it. No gameplay footage or even a release date. The hype isn’t there vs the P3R announcement

For me the Switch 2 is an opportunity for me to go back and play the great Musou/Hack N Slash/ action RPGs that were maybe unplayable before Age of Calamity and Fire Emblem 3 Hopes etc I also want to experience the rest of Fire Emblem 3 Houses, I only did one of the 4 routes

I’m super excited to see that a lot of games are getting updates on the #Switch2 and although most of them aren’t 4K updates. Many hack n slash/action RPGs are taking advantage of that extra performance. Meaning there is no longer frame rate issues for Age of Calamity

Looks like I’m mistaken , it seems that Koei Tecmo will be dealing with both the PS5 and PC release of #NIOH3 hopefully it means many more content creators and press can get their hands on the game for reviews 🙏🙏🙏

Last thing I wanted to mention about #NIOH3 The game will include Japanese and English voices with texts in English, French. Italian, German and Spanish. And the Nioh 3 Alpha Demo, is available exclusively on PlayStation 5 from today until June 18, 2025.

It’s worth mentioning KTs EU press releases didn’t contain a link for review code , the American press release had a link for review code but is non functional (which leads me to believe its a mistake) and that Sony will be dealing with this title #NIOH3

With the press releases going out from Koei Tecmo (not Sony) it leads me to believe Koei Tecmo is dealing with Publishing/Press for #Nioh3 (although it’s mentioned that the game is launching early 2026 for PC and PS5) maybe a joint release ?

The one thing that I wasn’t expecting but really enjoyed seeing was Arc System Works’ Marvel Tokon. I’m really excited to see more at TGS, potentially more in depth look at mechanics and new characters I really hope there is cross play between PC and PS5

I think if we are going to see a new Musou (like a Dynasty Warriors HD collection or a new Orochi game) it seems like something Koei will announce at a Nintendo Direct. Here’s hoping a Dynasty Warriors HD collection is on its way 🙏
