Listened to a podcast discussing blackouts in London during WWII. No lights/artificial light was allowed in order to make it visually harder for aerial attacks. It meant no entertainment too. Suicide rates were high. A reminder that art is not irrelevant in tough times. It brings its own light.🕯️

You ever read a biography about someone you thought had to be extraordinary, and then they were totally normal and much less interesting than you had imagined? So disappointing. 😆 But yet…it’s kind of comforting in a way, now that I look back on it.

Sometimes I leave sketches when they are just barely worked out, so I can look forward to coming back to it later. 😁

Sometimes I see people scold artists for posting artwork during these difficult times. (Often artists scolding artists.) To me, when I see people getting happy/excited over art, it gives me hope on many levels. Share more hope. You never know how it might help someone who really needs it.
