Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.

somehow I have the opposite problem of creating male characters and having difficulty creating female characters, for me it is easier to create interesting girls and with guy characters most of the time I'm like "UHHHHHHHH..." I can create them but I like my girls more LMAO

Animals are awesome cause you can see a bat that looks like a damn donut and is so adorable yet at the same time you have the knowledge of a snail with a poisonous harpoon that can kill multiple people with it but it's shell is GORGEOUS and planet earth is a bit more bright and less boring NGL
