I think certain offices should be nonpartisan by law. Sheriff, coroner, judge…those offices should appear on every ballot regardless of party because they should be apolitical. In today’s primary in Alabama voters are having to choose which races to prioritize and choose their ballots accordingly.

My high school is having graduation tonight and it’s so weird to me that it feels like just yesterday that I was graduating, but it’s been 17 years. And to think that the kids that are graduating now were infants—if they were even born—when I graduated. This is me now:

Alito has been on SCOTUS for 20 years. He’s riding high on the conservative hero list right now given his opinions on abortion and voting rights. The Court’s term will end in about 6 weeks. I’m going to be very surprised if he doesn’t announce his retirement around the first of June.
