Getting started on my next series and it's a good writing day so far. It's fun getting to explore a new part of the universe. New characters, too.

The current universe I am writing in has exactly 2 named planets so far, not counting the one Grace and Dean crash-landed on. That's the only one we have actually seen so far, though. A strange planet that is similar to the one we call home, with a slightly different atmosphere and a longer day.

I have started working on revisions for Until the Job is Done, book 3 in the Arcadius arc. And to think, this all started with a chaotic meet-cute brought about by sudden, catastrophic engine failure. #scifibooks #scifiauthors #sciencefiction #indieauthor

When I'm feeling this book will never happen, I remember NK Jemisin saying how she called up Kate Elliott & "confessed that I was desperately afraid I’d written the worst novel that had ever existed" and wanted to cancel the contract. Working through revisions today! I am filling in some of the places where the story just needed a little more description and action. Also working on building the relationship between my two characters. I don't want things getting too cozy.

I am very excited for you all to meet Grace and Dean. I have only known them for a few weeks but I've become rather fond of them. I've also nearly killed both of them at least once, but that's how writers show our love. Trauma.

What is the dream you have clung most tight to? What is the thing you want so badly you can almost taste it?

There is something magical about delving into the start of a new tale. Beginning a new adventure in a place that has not yet been seen before. I wonder what truths these two characters will discover. I also wonder if maybe I have consumed too much coffee today...
