The agonising over cape designs continues... For your perusal today, a 1/2 circle, two options for 1/3 circles, and an experiment with the actual leather that made me think about an asymmetric shape

About 25 min each, 10 segments and 4 more complex plates to do... There is no upper limit to how much time you can spend on texturing and decoration on armour 😅

Prince Armoury, who made the armour pattern I'm building, clearly hates people. I've reached the part of the pattern that says: " now cut 46 of these tiny pieces". Tiny little finger scales

The decorative carving on the shoulders is a total pain in the arse 😅

Shaping and second fit test for the calves. It's heavy! Now I have to stay like this for an hour while it sets... I'll need to chop a cm off the top of the back so it doesn't dig into the back of my knee when I squat XD

Leather armour, one step at a time!

May I present to you, my legs. Feet, calves, knees, and thighs. That alone took up 2/3 of my leather so I guess we're buying more 😅

Apparently I'm supposed to do the gold paint after the shine finish rather than before. I'm hoping that's why my gold looks blotchy...

Second colour test. Gold paint definitely needs another coat

And a full leg size test. I must have disproportionate legs because the bottom half needs to be an inch shorter and the top half an inch longer XD

Upper body mockups are ready to test sizing. Should be able to start in leather soon 🎉

To change things up a bit from bondage cuffs, I'm having a go at a leather suit of armour by Prince Armoury (cue 150 hours of work 😂 ). Foam mockup of the helmet. Face plate needs some fine-tuning but otherwise looking good!
