Coastal cruising

La Cite de la Mer. One of the coolest museums to visit! It is the story of humanity's relationship with the sea. All the amazing submarines are on display, including my childhood favourite Alvin, Deepsea Challenger, and the first French Nuclear sub the Redoutable that you can tour! 🛟

Arromanche site of the ruins of the Allied forces artificial port and Point du Hoc where Omaha beach is. The scale of the machinery of war is impactful. It's one thing to read about the war, and another deeper feeling all together when you are up close to history.

Juno Beach. The contrast of the beautiful landscape and the tragedies of battle that occurred here on D-Day were ever present.

Visiting Normandy. The evidence of why "Never Again" should never happen again.

Down by the Bow

This is the bee I saved today from the lawnmower. Now I will have to do a "bee sweep" before mowing all the time. I named her Petunia. She is currently flightless, maybe forever. Her new home has lots of flowers to climb on. 🐝❤️

Land of the Living Skies

Saskatoon along the South Saskatchewan river.

Unexpected Beauty. This is my only flowering tulip. It doesn't grow in a flower bed with the other hopeful bulbs, but under the utility box. It receives no special attention but thrives and blooms despite its situation. In this world, bloom anyway in opposition to the ugliness that may surround you.

Go vote! Don't let less than half the population decide Canada's future...
