At Barnes & Noble they keep the trading cards in a display behind the register. I set my pile of books on the counter to zero reaction, but when I asked the cashier to grab me some Yugioh stuff, a little kid who was behind me in line lit up like he'd seen something magical. Made me smile, lol.

A problem I have with eternal format card games (i.e. Yugioh and Digimon): I love that, in theory, you can find your favorite deck, your one-and-only, and "main" it forever. I want that! BUT, this deck you invested everything in could get gutted by bans or powercrept at any time for any reason.

"Hey valued customer -- you'll be happy to know that with the latest update, our engineers added a fun new AI feature, Mürbi! It's front and center and automatically pops up as soon as you try to use the product the normal way." ....google search, "how to turn off Mürbi"...

Tested some modern Yugioh decks in an online simulator and it was fun, but then I remembered I had Legacy of the Duelist on Steam and played that for awhile -- holy shit, man! I get that games evolve over time, but it was really satisfying to look at a deck and understand what it does instantly.

Folks out there who know more about Clip Studio Paint animation than I do -- any idea why my timeline decides to start skipping random frames if I play a preview while working? Exported/rendered files are fine, but in-program it will sometimes randomly refuse to play one frame.

Heard a different bird while I was out walking this morning, used an app and found out it was a Tennessee warbler -- and they're only in my area a few months out of the year while migrating. I love that...little guy out singing, on tour, and I was lucky enough to be in the audience.

Made the executive decision to add Quelaag's Sister to the ever-growing pile of "animations that are challenging enough that I can't do them justice right now with the skills (and time) that I have, but I want to come back to them someday"...

Spent 4 hours sketching out an animation idea and then suddenly it hit me: most people probably won't be excited to see the subtle character acting of a tragic demon spider lady. 😔

Remembered that non-Master Duel digital Yugioh clients exist and downloaded that instead! I played Labrynth and Ninjas awhile back, but I'm still very inexperienced and open to experimenting. Any suggestions for viable decks that aren't super complex (and ideally have art of cool/cute adult women)?

I think in the end, I must accept that I'm imperfect and always will be, that I'll continue to think/say/do the wrong things sometimes no matter how prepared or unprepared I am, no matter how anxious or confident I feel, so I might as well just do the shit. Been bingeing "Magic Player Evaluates Yugioh Cards" videos and they make me really wanna get back into card gaming again...but knowing that I'll have to grind to rebuild all my decks for the latest format/meta is such a turnoff. If you haven't been doing every daily mission for years, f2p is misery.

Let's say I'm playing a card game and there's an archetype called "Zombie Cowboys". If I look up decks, there'll be largely two kinds. One is Zombie Cowboy decks -- they have cowboys, zombies, and zombie cowboys. The other is whatever the meta good stuff is, with a splash of zombies and cowboys.
