So Zootopia 2 was fun. At least IMHO. It plays up some of the ideas of where they could have eventually gone quite well. From the idea of exploring social inequities to the external influences on social progress. All with a bunch of fun furry humour and twisty puns. There is a post-credits stinger

Went to go to a screening of Lesbian Space Princess with just the trailer as a selling point. "If at worst it's hopefully a trashy enough watch." It was just fantastic! It takes a bit for Siara to come out of her emotional funk. When she does though, the story about coming to love yourself slays.

I went to catch an IMAX screening of Frankenstein earlier. Just an utterly fantastic and damn faithful as heck adaptation. Has a few small changes, but GDT really works the message of the story excellently. Be warned that it has a good level of gore and horror. Absolutely beautiful stuff though.

Plenty of action, thrills, and hidden truths that unwind as the film rolls on. Definitely a must see if liked Freaks Out(vs. The Reich).

Went to go see Queens of the Dead at Toronto After Dark last night. A zombie flick from George Romero's daughter, Tina. A shiny queer take on a zombie outbreak. It brings the drama, humour, and heartbreak around a group of old and new friends trying to survive the night. A sold four out of five IMO

Went to go see Fantastic Four: First Steps yesterday. It was really neat. It took about four tries, but they did them great this time. Gotta say it though: I liked the new Superman a bit more. There should be some nice comparisons about the narrative tools both movies share. There are a few!

Superman was neat. I had a good bit of hype going into it and it delivered it in spades. Tons of moments to laugh your ass off with. All with some of the best character work we've gotten to see from Supes and friends in live action. It largely delivers on his message of hope and goodwill.

In my seat waiting for the start of Superman. So very exciting. Also the "IMAX" at Young Eglinton seems a bit smaller compared to the ETC one. I need to note this for future experiences.
