I am Canadian. I just went for a 4 km walk in a snowstorm in -12C feels -20 FOR PLEASURE. Really glad I did. And yes, the storm is going to get worse.

You LIE yourself down. You LAY something (or someone 😉) else. A tree fallen on a roof is not "laying" there. It's "lying"

Well, so much for the mild spell... Still had a nice 4 km walk this morning! Stuck to plowed roads rather than the orchard and woods, though.

Season 2 of Palm Royale was fabulous! Too many great performances to list, but highlights: Patti Lupone yodeling her way through a cowboy production number, Alison Janney saying "let's feed this fucker to the alligators" (of course, everything she does is always perfect)

It was a bit icy underfoot, but a misty morning walk is always worthwhile!

I think that's all the blue sky we'll be seeing today, but at least it was a mild walk! Nice to see the waning moon, too. Now, snow, freezing rain and finally rain all day long. Good day for baking sourdough bread and making a pot of taco soup!

Because I never pass up a chance to watch either John Cena or Idris Elba (and Stephen Root!), we watched Heads of State this afternoon. I enjoyed it, but the speech about the importance of NATO at the end kinda hit hard.

I live in the country surrounded by 100s of acres of commercial apple orchards. They're deserted this time of year, and I love my daily morning walks. Usually I manage 5.5 km.

Just another November morning on Lake Erie's north shore. I'm always struck by how quickly the sunrise moves from the NE to SE at this time of year.
