#ArtAdventCalendar Watercolor painting on 300g cold press paper. I mixed the 4 colors in advance and blended them when the paper was wet. It worked less well with the second layer. I sprinkled some gold and silver paint on top to make it look like a Papyrus card ;)

While my bedtime reading might have resulted in a series of nightmares many days in a row, it's well worth the time. I wish the book didn't sound so eerily familiar. Some of that sounded very much like what's happening today.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 2 Imagine the northern lights in a dark blue sky. That's what I intended, though it's ending up more like squinting at a Christmas tree covered in colorful ornaments. 😉 Gotta work on broader and more consistent strokes, and better blending.

Nightmares are exceptionally not fun when you're stuck in the mental compulsion of thought suppression, resulting in you abruptly waking yourself up so as to suppress a specific thought in your dreaming mind that was supposed to bring on the end of the world. But I don't know what that thought is!

90% sure this is a red-tailed hawk. #birds

It's still too cold to go outside, so I spent the morning watching this bird in my backyard behind some branches. Smallish like a Cooper's, Sharp-Shinned, or Merlin, but that red tail is unmistakable. So, I think it's a Red-Tailed hawk. Will have to check my camera later.

Good news! I found not only one tufted titmouse today, but two. Unfortunately, sometimes it's still moving too quickly for me to stay in focus! I was following this little one from afar for a good half an hour :) #birds
