Swiss glaciers have lost 3% of their ice volume in 2025! 🔥 ...and ONE QUARTER only over the last 10 years! 📈 2025 is the 4th most disastrous loss ever measured (after absolute record years 2022 and 2023)! JUST CRAZY… 😱 Full report:

What’s happening to the UK’s woods? We’re proud to partner with the Woodland Trust, who have published their State of the UK’s Woods and Trees 2025 report, putting woodlands back under the microscope to check up on their health and see what’s changed.

Heads up: ignore samtools dot org, similarly minimap2 dot com and likely others. It's owned by a known phishing site and while the binaries they offer look valid currently (but note they may be serving us different binaries to others), that could change. Ie: it's not us (Samtools team)! Be warned
