Battlefield success doesn't automatically produce an information advantage. In our new

commentary, “How to Lose an Information War in 10 Days,” Benjamin Jensen, Nico Vacca, and I examine how Iran responded to U.S. and Israeli battlefield success by competing aggressively online.🧵👇

This morning, Iran pushed an early claim that it had struck a U.S. Navy vessel — a claim the U.S. quickly denied. That denial matters because modern conflict is not just fought on the battlefield. It is also fought in the information space.

Today, I finished building a map outlining how towns in NY-21 will be negatively impacted by the passing of the "Big, Beautiful Bill," specifically focusing on the impact of the new work requirements for 19-64 aged Medicaid enrollees. Check it out here:

Russia’s doctrine says fires shape the battlefield. But are they? In our new paper, Director Ben Jensen

Futures Lab & I model missile & drone strikes and find they’re often untethered from real ops. The war is more punishment than planning. 🔗

I didn't forget to make a FL-1 map as well. Looks like roughly 20% of the population for each of the incl. counties receive Medicare benefits, which are now at-risk with the current admin. Again--cutting Medicare would hurt many across FL-1.

A data Hail Mary: for tmrw's election in FL-6, I created this map. In almost all incl. counties, nearly 1 in 3 residents rely on Medicare—now at risk under the current administration. Cuts would hit these counties hard, jeopardizing healthcare for many.
