Watching Send Help Last film at Camden Odeon is Sam Raimi's gleefully entertaining castaway drama where Rachel McAdams (a proper actor cos she can do drama AND comedy) is the worm that turned, and is the competent one while her terrible boss is - er - terrible.Gory, gross and fun in a very Raimi way

Watching Room Service When I glibly said that Step Lively was a remake of Room Service I'd assumed I'd seen it, but it's a Marx Bros film that evaded me. And its interesting, the farce plot of producers scamming a hotel both fits them, and constrains them a bit (though it causes creative tension)

Watching Piece By Piece There isn't really enough in the Pharrell story to justify the hagiographic biopic, though the Lego gimmick does at least mean ot is always bright and breezy, and of course most of the music is excellent fun. Nice to see the end of second act breakdown is still compulsory

Watched Coyotes I rather like Kate Bosworth's current career being surprisingly tough in B-horror. This is a comic horror that riffs on the Hollywood fires pushing coyotes into inhabited areas. Let down a bit by a few effects and too small a bubble for the threat to overwhelm, it's still quite good

Watched Blazing Guns Cheap Monogram b-Western where no-one seems to take the lawlessness in the town of Heldorado seriously.They can't hire a sheriff so find a bloke on the street with a shotgun who drives a hard bargain and then is on the make (sublets his free cabin).Interesting tone,tho bad!

Watching I Used To Be Funny I'll watch Rachel Sennott in anything, but mainly because she's funny and its qhard watching her not. She plays a comedian who nannies on the side for a girl whose Mum dies and who Dad does something terrible. Its about PTSD, and worthy, but felt too tidy at the end
