As of Today we have a 1kwH backup power that will last till the end of an power outage. We also have a generator as well to keep it all charged. This will be for Furry.watch and Yeen.host clients/servers. Big special thanks to @notsafefromwolves.bsky.social supporting this project tremendously!💙

Bug fixed : Strict button was causing mobile to have issues with sorting options. This has been fixed and should be pushed out shortly to the servers. <3

New update for report system making it easier to report if you are to report it to me then report it out to twitch. Checking usernames before submitting ( If they are currently suspended it will not have an option for submission due to twitch already taking them out )

Power restored surprisingly at the time they estimated almost.

As a little heads up our power as of 5:47PM our power is currently out meaning that if the api goes down my UPS's died that are providing power servers. The site will stay up but will not be showing anyone online during that time. We do however have a goal to try to buy a large battery 1KWh.

Website update : Furry.watch will now have the option to copy a raid command of a streamer you find by selecting the layer button. Bugs fixed : Carousel overflowing has been fixed. Removed : Featured tab this is now apart of the main page since you can do a strict filter.

Signup page will soon have a spotlight signup request. This will be for Special Events going on in the community. This will be added as soon as I have the time to do so. <3

Website Update : New Carousel for live streams ( featured stream will now show up first and then random streams from the list will show up to 5 streams at a time ) Auto website updates after 5 minutes have been removed due to it reloading while streams are being watched from the main page.

I did update the api for furry.watch today to be a 5 minute interval for when the cache is reset for loading every streamers live status.

We had a small outage on furry.watch I will need to do some backend testing to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Next batch of streamers has been added to the site.

We just hit 200 streamers on the site woo! Everything is still functional as well so that's a plus.

Patch notes : Furry.watch live page will now load all thumbnails unless the thumbnail is clicked then it will show the embed of the current stream due to issues on mobile devices and possible bandwidth limitations for desktop users.

Currently the highest rainfall in kansas city history is happening. Also I heard the transformer outside blow though luckily had no issues on our side since it is a separate transformer we use. If an outage happens then Furry.watch should still be working since we have api still even during outages.

Website update : While on the site, it will now auto-load all streams currently live, but only the streams that are showing will be loaded when you scroll down, it will disable those streams and load the new ones. Since not every stream is being loaded in the background it should use less ram.

Website Update : Signup page now is streamlined since I feel this should have been how it was originally to make sure no typos can possibly happen. As an example nocturnz instead of their display name being Nocturnz. This login scope only asks for email permissions to receive your username.

As for backup internet I do have this available too though upload speeds will be very limited so it would be a very constrained connection.

Furry.watch api is being hosting through another computer so this will not be impacted. 👀✨ Though for later I absolutely need to look into getting a large EcoFlow battery to make sure we keep things online for a few hours if storms are to knock out power.

A mandatory server cleaning will be scheduled here on the on the 15th at 8AM CST. This cleaning will take approximately 30 minutes to an hour. Afterwards everything should be Online. These services will be impacted : Virtual Machines for clients and Streaming Tools like HLS and RTMP hosting.

I actually think instead of doing live patch notes I might just make a YouTube video on them. Feel this is much more organized plus I can do retakes if needed.

Website Update : 1 : Offline page now will show as many usernames as possible in a row instead of having to scroll as far to get to find someone. 2 : Collab/Featured streamers are now highlighted inside the live tab with cyan being collab yellow being meaning they are currently featured.

I'll be doing another patch notes because I was too tired and didn't think it out as well as I should have. This time I will go ahead and redo it, plus have plans for the future typed out as well. This will probably be in a week or so after I watch over for any potential bugs and fix them.

Okay here it is. I have updated the website with brand new CSS (ugh) and fixed some extra bugs. You can now post text + images onto bluesky at given times and have it reposted automatically over an interval. The output is that more people will be able to see your posts, boosting engagement. #furry
