I might be falling down a rabbit hole when it comes to my thoughts on Megaplex this year, and I think I need to do some more research. Going through wikifur and the Wayback Machine keeps giving me more questions: First: Am I reading the data wrong or has furcon attendance really doubled since 2022?

I have some final thoughts about Megaplex, but those will have to wait until after I finish up the Octransfur prompt list. In the meantime, the short version: it was extremely disappointing. I know many people had a great time. I just wish I could say that I did, too. Too many things went wrong.

I can't help but feel like these questions were rigged... Collab with Virmir! #JoltinkArt I'll include their half as soon as it's available.

The more I think about the piano situation the more depressed I get. I think I'm giving up on Megaplex for a while. I know it seems minor but I genuinely put in a lot of practice the last few months only for Hyatt management to rip it away at the last second. Screw them.

Megaplex Day 3.5 - Went to Hyatt front desk to ask about who to talk to over the piano situation. The lady points me to the hotel counters on the convention level floor and that there will be a representative there. No Hyatt staff members in sight (apart from cleaning staff). Very unimpressed.

Morning on day 2.5 of Megaplex-- mixed so far. My negative experiences so far have been (mostly) unrelated to the con itself, but it still sucks. All of my happy moments have been with wonderful individuals who I have nothing but nice things to say about. So thanks for being lights in the darkness.

Hung out with @crizbn.com today and well... It seems they're not quite used to the Instant Youth Radius I radiate. It can definitely hit you kind of hard the first few times. Don't worry, he'll hatch in a few days, and in the meantime at least we know he's taking a break from working. #TFEveryday

Played Mario Party and @crizbn.com somehow slept through the game and won! I am so upset. Chance time gave him all my stars.

Megaplex seems pretty okay so far, but staying in one of the distant overflow hotels is a massive drag on that. The local trolley service is woefully inadequate and the weather sucks (admittedly, that's just how Florida is). So we (roommate and I) are way too tired to enjoy the con.

Try as I might, I can't seem to find a link to any Megaplex discord or any official word about the best way to get from the overflow hotels (specifically the Hampton Inn) to the main con space for @megaplexcon.org, especially after the I drive trolley stops running at 10:30. Can anyone help me out?

Quick update on the #Octransfur prompts: you all sent in about 80 new entries so far, and sorting through them has been a treat~ Showing my main working list would be spoilers, but here are the ideas that were so good that I already chose them... in the past. Sorry, but no repeats this year. ^^;
