I wonder what the Age of Opus means for Open Source. There's a *massive* influx of projects that in many cases rightfully qualify as slop, and people are becoming understandably wary of this. It's also becoming increasingly difficult to identify the non-slop.

LinkedIn is going crazy with "the price of software is now zero", "I wrote 3.6m LOC with no programming experience" etc. Looks, it's like this: even with latest Opus and other frontier models, bad developers will produce bad software, and good developers will produce good software.

Real talk. A lot of current ATProto stuff doesn't sit will with me. I'm seeing efforts to find a common standard for eg. blog posts in the Atmosphere. The web has RSS. RSS is an interface, not a content schemas. Interfaces are good. You want to use interfaces, not find a lowest common denominator.

Since Chatto is just a tiny executable that doesn't need any extra databases or whatever, I was able to easily parallelize my integration tests by spinning up an ephemeral Chatto instance for every Playwright worker. Look at them go:
