Hi all, I haven’t updated in a while but this is a good one. Kate was moved to rehab today so she is out of the hospital which is huge!!! She still has a long recovery but we are all so excited for this progress so far!

Vroom! Emptied the old gas, cleaned the gunk from the carburetor and changed the spark plug. We are ready for the storm.

Almost 10yo didn’t want a party this year so I freshened up her pink hair this morning and after her musical theatre class we went shopping at Hot Topic and had lunch. Then we got storm snacks at Dollarama.

Someone honked at me when I turned right into Bedford Commons and kept in my lane. They were turning left from Bedford and assumed they owned both lanes 🙃 The sign at the right turn is not a yield sign. Right traffic in right lane, left traffic in left lane.

My favourite FB memories are the bump picks, especially these ones where I was nearly done 😂 I was 39 weeks and still had 9 days before I was induced.

We supported 80+ families to move into temporary or permanent housing over the past year or so, leaving behind hotel rooms that should only be an emergency response. Nova Scotians need housing that is secure safe & affordable. We’re working to end homelessness through housing, services and advocacy.

Dropped Lola for her first grooming appointment. Got home an almost 10yo asks: So is the groomer an influencer or a regular person? 😂 Me: pretty sure just a regular groomer 😂

Timeline cleanse. My mom picked up a cake at Superstore for their anniversary. A very nice young immigrant man wrote on the cake for her. She thanked him and said it was very nice. 😊

I’ve been a cleaning and decluttering queen since I took Christmas decor/tree down on Jan. 1st. Unfortunately as I was sorting piles today I tripped myself and landed on my right side and now that I’m resting can feel the twinges in my right side neck, shoulder and hip. Booked chiro for Tuesday

Explaining to my pets that I have other responsibilities and can’t pet them all day long..

I did my nails which meant I then had to do the nails of my kids. Which I love to do because we can just sit and chat for a half hour one on one 🥰 I know one day they will do their nails with their friends instead of me, but for now I’m still number one ❤️❤️

I’m having a plate of various crackers, cheese and meat from the charcuterie stuff left over with an orange juice free mimosa for lunch.

Me: I remember when the junior hockey players were hot and now they all look like babies. Also me: You are in your 40s now, these players are children and thus are supposed to look like babies to you. 😂

Well 2025, what can I say except I survived. There was a dark hole I wasn’t sure I could climb out of earlier in the year. My Dad got bad health news right before Christmas. 2026 will not be better but I shall look for and enjoy the small glimmers and moments of joy when they present themselves.

Booked 7.5yo birthday party for April because she knows exactly what she wants and it’s good to book early. Plus there was a promo running. Almost 10yo birthday is in January. She doesn’t want a party this year and hasn’t told me what she wants to do so I can’t plan anything.
