Acropolis done ✔️ It was brutally hot and dramatic to the end. Glad to see Ott back on the top step. Super fast gravel of Estonia & Finland next up. However for me it’s the baking heat of Rally di Roma. 👌🏻 After a few relaxing days here in Greece of course…😜

The next WRC Backstories podcast is about to drop. I know I always say ‘we could have kept talking for hours’ - which I genuinely mean, with this one I feel it could have gone on until the early hours. Maciej Woda, MD of M-Sport Poland. What a story!

It’s been a few weeks since Sweden, mostly blighted by illness and suspected pneumonia. I posted this when I thought I was feeling better. In reality I managed to walk just 1k before giving up. Step in kick ass antibiotics and I’m finally feeling better. I rarely get ill, so this has annoyed me 😹

End of era! Back in the day, WRC Live (rally radio) ran across Skype. It was the one constant amongst all the new tech that emerged. Not used it in years, probably the last time was at the last event in 2018. I’ll miss the ring tone though!

First drama of the day: Check in lady dropped my passport between the desk and the luggage belt. The thinnest gap, passport sized actually. They panicked. I mildly panicked. Finally someone had to (with brute force) move the luggage belt. Now it isn’t weighing correctly 😆 But I have my passport!

Next stop, Tokyo. Final round for #WRC for the 2024 season. I can’t help but be a bit nostalgic, especially as I’m at 33,000ft and two glasses of wine to the good. Time is flying. Why does 2003 feel like last week? Margam park magic. Radio madness. Fast forward 21 years & I still love it.
