Got poor feedback on my #manuscript. He didn't finish reading. Told me it's trash. Said he could write a lot better than my work. While it hurt to be talked to like that, I gave him a genuine challenge. "Then do it. Write better than I have." If great #literature comes from this, I take credit. 🤣

One of the things I really love about taking part in #WIPSnips is that each time I select a scene (or a slice of a scene) to present, I put it under a mini-editing process, cleaning up bloat, sharpening descriptions, and enhancing prose. It's extremely healthy for my work, & I appreciate the excuse.

Yesterday, I was fooled by a trick where people marked THEMSELVES as "members of a terrorist organization called ANTIFA." The thing that tricked me was screenshots of light and dark mode, coupled with the inability to interact with the apparent photo of the accusatory tag. It was fake. Awkward.

I unabashedly listen to a lot of #LORN while I'm writing or trying to chill. I see that Acid Rain has 128M plays on YouTube Music. I probably account for a startling percentage of those plays. (Which is to say, one that wouldn't be a percentile so small it takes fifty characters to write.) I 💖it.
