I have a few things to point out about yesterday's US elections.. But to be honest, let's enjoy the moment for a bit. A Uganda born Muslim, self-admitted socialist is the major of NYC, beating someone (in)famous who was backed by multiple billionaires. That alone was worth the price of admission.

Odd side note... That "Hard IQ" test Trump is so proud of passing? I'm a participant in the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) and have been for about 15 years. It's long term study on how aging affects people. Every three years, I get one of those tests. It's not an IQ test.

Another thing most people get wrong: The fact you can't prove something true is NOT proof that anything else is true. The opposite of "proven" is "unproven", nothing more. To prove something else is true, you have to start with a new hypothesis.

A little perspective. Albertans are seriously concerned about the "rapid" population growth in the province. Alberta is 661,848 km² in size. It has a population of 4,262,635. The entire UK is 243,610 km² and has 69,551,332 people. If Alberta was one city, it would be around the 100th largest.

The reason things don't get better is because we focus on the instances and miss the bigger causes. So instead of fixing the *actual* problem, we get trapped endlessly fixing specific instances of the problem. In a way, this is literally why people on left fail to create lasting change.
