What's in season in October and what should you plant? Garlic should be planted before the frost but in late autumn or early winter so that it can grow during a cold period that will help bulb formation. You can harvest it from May to August, and it stores well!

Last week we had a tour at The Scottish Pantry Network kitchen and offices. It was interesting to hear about their Prepmate meal kits which will soon be available in pantries and for general purchase, and fantastic to see their new kitchen facilities which will allow them to host cooking classes.
