It’s #WorldDiabetesDay, and Rachael Rowland says the support she's received from us with her Type 1 has been outstanding. She's responded by by joining us as a volunteer in the wards,helping other patients navigate diabetes technology — offering real-world advice 7 support on what works best.

Today is #WorldDiabetesDay. We are proud of the care we offer to people with diabetes. Our paediatric diabetes team have a display today in the Treehouse children's unit reception, showing information, statistics and the events that the team run throughout the year.

Congratulations to our switchboard manager Caroline Bibby and speech and language therapist Jen Zambas who have both recently received Above and Beyond runner up awards for their outstanding service. Both are great examples of our caring values.

Staff at the South East Manchester Community Diagnostic with InHealth recently celebrated their first anniversary serving the populations of both Stockport and Tameside. In that time they’ve seen an incredible 28,000 patients and helped to reduce waiting times and improve access to diagnostics.

It was fantastic to celebrate our Volunteers Long Service Awards this week. Volunteers were each celebrating either 5, 15, 20 or 25 years working at the hospital, with over 150 years of dedication and experience between them. A huge thank you to them all.
