The official opening of our new outpatients building was held today – a fantastic new environment bringing our services together once more. Contractors MTX have done a fantastic job together with our capital projects, estates, clinical, charity and other colleagues who helped made it happen.

Our deputy chief executive John Graham recently presented Bramhall community staff nurse Holly Murray with an Above and Beyond award recognising her project of knitting hearts to support end-of-life patients and their relatives - a simple yet profound gesture of comfort and support. ❤️

A big thank you to the charity Lila's Light for donating our MacMillan’s Palliative Care team with special age-appropriate support bags to help children and younger people when a sibling dies. The team are now able to provide these for families in Stockport in both the hospital and community.

Well done to all the medical teams who took part in our ‘Escape Room Challenge’ - a simulated emergency exercise playing on delays in care to improve patient safety. Special congrats to the ward teams from E2, C3 and B6 (pictured) who came top in the challenge.

A memorial service was held today in our Marjory Warren Unit Day Hospital for much-missed doctor, Professor Mohan Lal Datta-Chaudhuri. He did much to develop the unit and department and was remembered as a great colleague and mentor, and a compassionate doctor.
