I've been slowly rewatching the Crown and think our government should watch the episodes that touch on the Suez Canal crisis. It's not exactly a one to one match to the Hormuz situation but there are some lessons to be learned.

Is it old school for conference chairs to send out an email with info about when to circulate papers for panels? It seems like this doesn't happen as much now.

They are arguing that you need to show ID to fly but that isn’t true everywhere. We just flew from OKC and with the touch less option they just snap a photo to match to the database.
