A favourite raga of mine from the vaults. Bhairavi is traditionally a morning raga, but in forms like Sindhi Bhairavi it often wanders into looser, more romantic, late-night moods. I often turn to it in moments of sadness or melancholy, and find it always carries me through.

Revisiting an epic and meaningful moment from North Sea Jazz Festival this summer: the very first time my beautiful sister Norah Jones and I performed together onstage. ‘Traces of You,’ a song full of memory; written in love, shared in joy.
