Nice morning in the Wyre Forest. Wood Warbler, Pied Fly, Spot Fly, Cuckoo (H), GWood. No Tree Pipit nor Marsh Tit nor Dipper even though I walked from DML car park to beaver. Nearly walked on this going very slow across the path. #worcsbirds

Lucky enough to have double figure Stock Doves visit daily. Youngsters are rare and never seen one this early in the year. With the local Parakeet population, the available nesting sites must be severely depleted.

Morning spent in the Wyre Forest. Double figure Redstart which is unusual (for me). Plenty of Tree Pipit. Several male Pied Flycatcher. Cuckoo heard. No WW, LSW, MT or Spot Fly. Too many stream swimming dogs for Dipper. Found this Signal Crayfish claw next to the brook. #worcsbirds

Great day in FOD. 8+ Goshawk from New Fancy with 2 getting romantic in a treetop. Finished at Nags Head with several Mandarin from lower hide and a very showy Firecrest near the visitor’s centre.

From dawn, 3 hours standing in a very cold Wyre Forest looking for LSW. One nanosecond view of a female was all I got. Lots of GSW , Green Woody and the usual fare. No Marsh Tit and didn’t look for Dipper. #worcsbirds

I seem to be doing well this year in my garden for butterflies and day flying moths. Several Painted Ladies and Hummingbird Hawk-moths seen so far this year. This one currently on the lavender @bc-westmids.bsky.social

Early morning visit to @RSPBMiddleton. Nothing unusual other than a Green Sandpiper flushed from the mud under the bird feeders near the car park. Decent number of juvenile LRP at all stages from just hatched to fledged. Also at least three very young Lapwing and solitary Hare.

A 3 Garganey day at Slimbridge. Also 2 Spotted Redshanks and Blackwits in summer plumage, juv Spoonbill and 3 Green Sands.

Bluethroat showed well this morning ⁦‪⁦‪@WWTSlimbridge‬⁩ . Also 3 Cattle Egret and a vocal Cuckoo on TNP. Otherwise quiet.
