Rewatched Antz, my childhood favourite #dreamworks #movie, last night for the first time in over 2 decades. Run-of-the-anthill plot, but I can't stop appreciating that the subtext of a kid's movie is a social commentary that's relevant even today. We need more movies like this.

Being a writer is almost entirely about perseverance. Life is going to continuously try to keep you from writing or from getting published or from getting things made, and you just have to get in life's way and say “No.”
