Dram 5 score - 3 Smokey & sweet, lovely. Opens up well with water. #BlindDrams

Dram 5 palate - sweeter than the nose suggests, very much glazed bacon on this one. A little one-dimensional. #BlindDrams

Dram 5 nose - grilled fruit peat smoke on this one, quite heathery and floral. Nice! #BlindDrams

Dram 4 score - 4 Best yet, really love the funky savoury notes although a drop of water definitely required. #BlindDrams

Dram 4 palate - quite hot, high abv? More funkiness but with plenty spiced fruit & a savoury back note. Opens up really nicely with a drop of water. #BlindDrams

Dram 4 nose - now this one smells good, very funky & sweaty. Unripe plums & white strawberries, even a slight hint of smoke. #BlindDrams

Dram 3 score - 3 The sweetness on this one makes me think of an STR cask here maybe?? Bit too sweet to elevate this above a still solid three. #BlindDrams

Dram 3 palate - foremost this one's sweet & sour, moreso than the nose. Reminds me of a light red wine. #BlindDrams

Dram 3 nose - nice and sweet, red grape & red apple. Some prune tang in there too. #BlindDrams

Dram 2 score - 2 Opens nicely with a drop of water, a solid score of two for me! #BlindDrams

Dram 2 palate - quite spicy & tart. Apples & raisins plus a hint of acetone, a blend maybe? #BlindDrams

Dram 2 nose - cereal notes, with apricot, gooseberry, white grape & a funky background. #BlindDrams

Dram 1 score - 3 Not a huge fan of grain whisky normally but this is one of the better ones I've had. Really solid start for sure! #BlindDrams

Dram 1 palate - got to be a grain with that candy sweetness, lots of shortbread & vanilla. And sugar. Drop of water doesn't do much here either. #BlindDrams

Did a special tour with Doug Clement today, to celebrate the release of the 10yo. Learnt new things about the early days of Kingsbarns, and the "family tree" tasting was fascinating - Dream to Dram, Doocot & the 10yo.

Dram 5 palate - lemon bomb! Sherbet lemon all the way, smokiness backs off a little. Drop of water dials back the heat. #BlindDrams #BTC56
