I've got to fly for work this Sun and Tues. I'm nervous. I've not flown in years and this will be my first time clearing checkpoints post surgeries and with a medical device. My husband and friend tell me to carry a cane and request handicap assistance. :P

My husband teases me about all of my Ugg boots. "We should open a store." I probably have around 15 pair of boots if you include the 3 pair of cowboy and 2 pair of motorcycle boots. :-) Not pictured: My old and very comfy riding boots which I was wearing. ^.~

A minute or two earlier and I could have been in the middle of this. I arrived on scene mere minutes after this happened. The driver hit a water filled crash cushion, there was still water running across the road. I hope the driver is okay.

I have to fly for work from DAL to RDU and back on 10/5-10/7. This will be my first time post surgeries (3 years ago) and passing TSA checkpoints wearing a medical device. I'm nervous but I know I can do this. My approach is to be ears forward, kind, up front and alert them.

I finally pulled the trigger on retiring my Samsung Gear S3 watch. It was being flakey recently and constantly pulling up Samsung Pay. I have a new Galaxy Watch8 Classic on the way as a replacement. T-mobile offered me I couldn't refuse.

I think I would have made a good farm husband. I speak horse and I can drive a tractor/front end loader/etc. ^.~ It ain't an easy life. Just a few days of it and my body hurts.

You just cannot make up stories like this. Me: "Is there any fuel for the tractor?" Dad: ...... Find can of diesel, dump it in the tank. A few minutes later I realize there was prob water in the fuel. Me: "Y'all should appreciate that I know how to drive a tractor and clean/drain a fuel filter.

For $%^#'s sake. Pistol stepped on my Dad. We are rolling to TN on Friday to help take care of dad and the horses. Dads neighbors mom passed so we have a funeral to attend as well. They have always looked after my mom, dad and the horses. It is all very sudden and sad news.

The Starbarks by my office in Austin still has creamer, sugar out to do it yourself. I like this. So many stores did away with this over the years.

I don't mind traveling for work or family. I do mind being evacuated from my hotel at 10pm. I swear Round Rock rolled every piece of fire equipment they had. I appreciate the show of force. You folks do an amazing job. I think it was a false alarm or broken window. Still, a bit sobering.

I think Pistol (right) looks a little wide from this angle but he still seems a bit thin. Supper time with Rascal and Pistol. They are very good boys if a pit pushy at food time. ❤️ They saw me outside two hours later and wondered if it was second supper time.

I'm not too disappointed with this. 5'8" 185lbs, down 12lbs from last year. My blood work came back with. 1. Slightly low red blood cell count. 2. Slightly low calcium 3. Slightly high HDL 4. A1C at 4.5 5. BP slightly high I'd call that healthy as a horse for 59. :-)

6 days in to the work step 10,000 a day challenge. My body hates me. My hooves hurt, my knee hurts. It is 95°F out with a heat index of 105°F I'm behind today. I'm pretty much of the mindset of fuck this. I'd be in if I had an inside treadmill. O.o

Weird how things work out. A new acquaintance of mine is fond of horses. He had AI render this from the real picture of me and @sparxhonse.bsky.social from TFF many years ago. It is just too pretty and sweet. It made me cry thinking back on those times.

It is interesting to see that Texas blinked on fuel prices. Crude oil prices are down. I fueled up yesterday morning, crossed the state line in to Texas and fuel was at least $0.40 higher.

The hot rod Merc and my big ass Cadillac SUV got a fluff and fold today. They're both clean and shiny. The size difference is very evident when parked next to each other.

We're booked in to see Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills and Chaka Khan in May in Nashville. Stage left about 20 rows back. What a classic group on stage. I can't wait. At least our third or fourth time seeing Ms Patti. ^.^
